Solution #1:
I believe that South Carolina schools should offer BOTH college prep and vocational education routes to a high school diploma.
Solution #2:
I want to align SC State High School Diploma 24-credit graduation requirement to the Commission of Higher Education’s 19-credit recommendation for college admission standards – saving the state almost half a billion dollars, without making cuts to education basics.
Solution #3:
I want to change the South Carolina Uniform Grading Scale to align with the rest of the nation’s 10-point scale.
Solution #4:
We should revise the Standards of Learning to provide a strong foundation of the basics – reading, writing, and arithmetic – giving students the tools to succeed in life.
